Speed, Quality, and Precision: Introducing the New SMV2 Scanner and Community Leaderboard Overhaul

ATR.- At DAO Labs, our mission has always been to build a Social Mining ecosystem that is not only rewarding but also fair, transparent, and resilient. As our community grows, so must our tools. Today, we are proud to announce a series of major upgrades designed to prioritize high-quality contributions and provide a smoother user experience.
1. The New Science of Ranking: Speed + Quality
We believe that being early is great, but being excellent is better. Our new Leaderboard formula now weighs Speed and Quality equally.
- Why the change? We want to reward our "first responders" without compromising the depth of the content.
- Visual Clarity: You’ll notice new Floating Stats on the web dashboard. Hover over your score to see a transparent breakdown of exactly how your points were earned.
- The Hall of Fame: We’ve added a Leaderboard Calendar so you can track your performance over time, alongside Top Badges to distinguish our most consistent "Social Miners."
2. Scanner V2: Precision Verification
To protect the integrity of our rewards, we’ve upgraded our backend scanning logic. The SMV2 Scanner is more than just a crawler; it’s a verification engine.
- The 24-Hour Check: The scanner now performs an initial check 1 minute after you engage, and a critical re-scan 24 hours later. This ensures that engagements remain active on your profile, discouraging "hit-and-run" activity.
- Smart Limits: To ensure system stability, we’ve implemented a scan limit of 20 activities per user profile per day.
3. The "Money Bag" & Point Decay Logic
To maintain a healthy token economy, we are introducing a dynamic reward structure for our Twitter and Task modules.
- Point Decay: Retweet points on projects will now gradually decrease over a 3-day period. As Speed is a key factor to increased engagement value, this means that you must act as soon as you see the post available to get the most out of your action.
- The Money Bag Connection: This decay is directly tied to our Money Bag calculation, which calculates diminishing points within the 7 hr timeframe. By participating early and maintaining high-quality interactions, you maximize your share of the reward pool before the decay sets in.
4. A Streamlined Twitter Experience
We’ve added "guardrails" to our Twitter submission module to help you succeed:
- Submission Windows: The "Submit" button now opens every 24 hours.
- Validation: Our system now automatically checks for keywords and ensures the tweet is relevant to the author. Also, it will not accept 7 day old tweets and links outside Twitter.
- Clean Workspace: No more cluttered dashboards. The SMV2 Scanner will fetch project tweets every hour. Posts in the Task and Twitter modules can be removed once the timer expires, and the "Retweet Bubble" will automatically remove after 3 days-old posts.
5. Marketplace & Mobile Optimization
The Marketplace is receiving a facelift to make browsing tasks easier than ever.
- Contextual Labels: Every post now features specific labels so you know exactly what the task requires at a glance.
- Mobile-First Design: We know many of you mine on the go. While web users enjoy "floating" stats, mobile users can now click stats to see their data in a touch-friendly interface.
